Steve in China
I've now been to China four times,
once in 2001 to work for China Daily, in April and
October 2003 to do some more writing and visit friends and then
in April 2004 for Budget Travel and US News &
World Report. As it happened, SARS was raging in April
2003 and I was put on retainer with USA Today to cover
the epidemic for several weeks from Beijing, Hong Kong and Guangzhou.
